Repair is Part of the Practice

Even when we ask with care, things can still feel tender.
Maybe a hug lasted longer than someone expected.
Maybe the space was not quite right.
Maybe something stirred up that neither person saw coming.

That is okay.

Repair is part of this practice.

You can always check in. You can always return to the moment with presence.

“Hey, was that hug okay for you?”
“I want to make sure that felt good on your side too.”
“If something didn’t land well, I am open to hearing it.”

This is not about perfection.
It is about relationship.
It is about making space for honesty, even when it feels uncomfortable.

That is what makes a safe hug feel real.
Not getting everything exactly right, but being willing to stay connected.
